Ronan Curnyn began sailing in summer 2021, joined his high school team, and soon discovered the 29er skiff. Over the next three years, he progressed from learning to sail to winning the 29er Nationals and finishing 13th in a fleet of 258 at the 2024 29er Open World Championship in Aarhus, Denmark. At that championship, Ronan and Logan Mraz each made the Ovington Top 25 while sailing with other partners. When they later raced together in a 29er regatta, they finished second, one point behind the winners. The pair are now focused on establishing themselves in the FX before advancing into the 49er. Ronan crews the boat, bringing a rapid development curve and growing skiff experience to the partnership.
