USA 34 is Carson Crain and B Lindsay’s Nacra 17 campaign for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games. B Lindsay competes under her full name, Catherine Lindsay, in official international results. The current partnership continues the USA 34 program into a new Olympic cycle after Carson finished second in the 2024 U.S. selection process with former crew Lindsay Gimple. Carson grew up sailing in Northeast Harbor, Maine, and moved into high-performance Olympic and professional sailing. He campaigned the RS:X windsurfer for Team USA, competing at World Championships, Olympic test events, and the 2015 Pan American Games. In 2016 he founded Next Generation USA for the 2017 Red Bull Youth America’s Cup and helmed the team’s foiling AC45F while also managing the campaign. He later shifted his Olympic focus to the Nacra 17 mixed multihull. The previous USA 34 partnership of Carson Crain and Lindsay Gimple began in 2023 and finished second in the U.S. Olympic selection for Paris 2024. For the Los Angeles cycle, B Lindsay joined Carson as the current crew. The pair competed as USA 34 at the 2026 Nacra 17 World Championship in Quiberon, France, finishing 32nd. USA 34’s stated objective is to represent the United States at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games and compete for a podium result. The campaign combines international Nacra 17 racing, European training, domestic training, and development on the fully foiling Olympic mixed-multihull platform. With Carson’s previous Olympic-class, Youth America’s Cup, and Nacra 17 experience, the program enters the LA cycle with continuity from the 2024 selection campaign and a new crew partnership for 2028.
