From community sailing programs to high-performance youth teams, we support organizations that put sailors on the water and expand access to the sport. Our support may include boats, equipment, facilities, and other resources that help strong programs reach more sailors.

Best Coast Sailing

Best Coast Sailing is a California high-performance Optimist program focused on personalized coaching, strong racing fundamentals, and a healthy competitive mindset. The Skiff Sailing Foundation has supported Best Coast Sailing with facilities and equipment, making it a flagship example of how we help strong sailing programs create more opportunity for committed young sailors.

Sausalito Yacht Club

Sausalito Yacht Club offers youth sailing programs for a range of skill levels on San Francisco Bay, alongside racing and other on-the-water programs. The Skiff Sailing Foundation has provided small boats to support the club’s sailing activities and help put more sailors on the water.

City of Oakland Boating & Sailing

The City of Oakland’s Boating & Sailing program offers youth and community access at Lake Merritt and the Oakland Estuary, creating an entry point to sailing and boating in the Bay Area. The Skiff Sailing Foundation has provided small boats to support this public program and expand hands-on access to the water.

Maricopa Youth Mariners

Maricopa Youth Mariners is an Arizona nonprofit using sailing and maritime education to build skills, confidence, teamwork, and STEM learning for youth and families. The Skiff Sailing Foundation supports the program by providing an Etchells, giving its sailors access to a larger keelboat platform for hands-on learning and time on the water.

Houston Yacht Club has a long-running youth sailing program with instruction, racing, camps, and opportunities to build skills on Galveston Bay. The Skiff Sailing Foundation supports that pathway by providing an Etchells, adding a competitive one-design keelboat to the opportunities available to young sailors.
