Lena Weißkichel is from Hanover, Germany, and is now based in Long Beach, California. Her sailing background includes the Laser Radial, 49erFX and Nacra 17, shorthanded offshore sailing, ClubSwan 50 navigation, and current Formula 18 and A-Class catamaran racing. For Team Aurora’s 2026 NYYC Women’s International Championship campaign, Lena is the helm. She brings high-performance catamaran experience and professional leadership-coaching skills to a ten-sailor international roster connected through The Magenta Project.
