The Skiff Sailing Foundation supports a competitive youth racing team. Through extensive campaigning in a variety of classes and disciplines, the SSF believes that regatta experience in diverse venues is critical to success. SSF owns a 29er which is on long-term charter to a local youth team. SSF also supported a series of 29er clinics leading up to the 2005 29er World Championships held in San Francisco.
SSF is working to continue supporting youth sailors in the 29er fleet. We will again help 3-4 teams attend the 2006 29er World Championships in England. Our largest goal is to continue to grow our fleet of 29ers.
