The Skiff Sailing Foundation is a charitable organization designed to foster amateur athletic competition. Our mission is to promote the sport of sailboat racing with a focus on the development of Olympic athletes and world-class competitors. Likewise, it is our desire to facilitate competition through event promotion, assistance to individual competitors and grass-roots sailing education.
Our Foundation derives its name from a focus on skiff sailing. The new generation of skiffs have taken the sailing world by storm. With the growth of these classes, sailboat racing will become more exciting than ever. Our organization hopes to make the sport more popular by increasing it's accessability.
With an advisory board that includes some of the most talented, influential, and energetic sailors in the Bay, the SSF is in the unique position of being able to complete the cycle of learning to sail, learning to race, and later campaigning a youth or Olympic class skiff.
