About Jen...

Jen grew up in Seattle, WA and learned to sail at the Seattle Yacht Club. She raced Laser Radials, Laser IIs and 420s as a junior. Jen then changed coasts to spend her college years at Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire. While at Dartmouth she obtained All American honors as a member of the school's varsity sailing team as well as helped the team win the 2000 Women's Collegiate North American Championships. Jen started her Olympic quest as a crew in the 470 fleet. Sailing with Erin Maxwell, the pair finished 3rd in the 2004 US Olympic Team Trials. Missing the opportunity to represent the US in the Athens Olympics, Jen returned to the Pacific coast, this time to San Francisco. Here Jen began sailing 29ers and was soon hooked on skiff sailing. Looking forward to 2006, Jen will continue to campaign her 29er, as well as step into the new 29erXX with hopes this new class will be chosen for the 2012 Games.

About Genny...

Genny grew up in Houston, Texas and learned to sail at the Houston Yacht Club. She has competed in a range of boats, including Optimists, Laser radials, V-15s, 420s, 470s, and 29ers. Genny went to St. John's School in Houston from Kindergarten through high school. There she played lacrosse, was the captain of her cross country team, and was a national merit scholar. She continued on to Harvard University, to compete with the Harvard Sailing Team, which has won the Fowle Trophy designating it as the top team in the nation for 5 years running. There she received All-American honors all three years, and was named the Quantum Female Collegiate Sailor of the Year her sophomore year. Last year she skippered on Harvard's team racing team and led their women's team to victory in the Collegiate Nationals. Genny majored in psychology and graduated in 2005, one year early, in order to pursue her Olympic dreams. Genny first got hooked on the 29er when she was 17, but after breaking a mast she narrowly missed qualifying for the Youth Worlds. She then qualified to attend the ISAF Worlds in 470s instead and has since spent the last couple of years campaigning in the 470 class. She is now excited to continue on in the 29er as a crew, and work hard to get the 29erXX into the 2012 Olympic Games.
